  • Farewell Germany

So i think this will be my last post for a while, unless by some miracle i stumble across another site with wireless!

Went to visit the concerntration camp at dachau today, very interesting but as expected rather grim! Thunderstorm here at the moment but so i hear nothing like you have back home!

Think i will head to switzerland tomorrow and then slowly work my way across france to meet up with the austins on thursday, hope everything is ok. Oh and special congratulations to John for his excellent efforts of poor driving in the wet!! No but but but's now john!

Take it easy, i know i am

  • Alone

So finally i am alone! Jeffrey and his crew left earlier today and so i shall venture on alone.Added some more photos to the photo bucket account earlier so check them out.

I hear you have had a spot of rain back home, shame that its been 37 degrees today here then! Dont'w worry im sure karma willcome round to bit me.

Message for Jacob camp, i have sent him one of his birthday presents and there will be another one coming at some point from england addressed to him, so on his birthday you need to open the german one first i think.

All good here shall speak to you all soon x

  • Pictures

As i have to pay to put more photos up on here i have started to upload some to my picture bucket account. The address is http://s86.photobucket.com/albums/k109/zach7112/Augsburg/ bear with me as it takes ages to upload the photos as jeffreys camera is good.

  • Sweaty!!

It is still outrageously hot here in Augsburg, it hasn't dropped below 34 yet this week but i think we are going to get some rain on friday.

Been training quite allot these last few days, and apart from my belly i dont think i have lost much! The course here is empty during the day which is pretty cool as they left the world cup course up for monday and tuesday. Jeffrey's family and some of the paddlers from his club have come to stay for a few days now so im fully submerged in German!!

They leave on friday so i think on saturday i will head off, first to munich to visit a concerntration camp then onto the bodensee, the German version of the sea side! The work my way over towards Dijon next wednesday.

Nothing else to report really, i will put allot more photos up soon but i need to pay my subscription fee first!

    Love to all! x

  • Party time in Augsburg

Im alive and so is the van!! Its so so hot here in Augsburg at the moment, with temperatures due to rise even more this week up to 36 tomorrow!

Well with a fairly uneventfull journey that took around 18 hours of solid driving time myself, tom and jeffrey sweated it out to reach Lech camping in Augsburg at around midnight on the 12th. Its been a good weekend with some good kayaking to watch with dave winning a bronze medal and some heavy drinking to be had on both the friday and saturday nights. I will pop some pictures up on here when i work out how to so keep checking back.

Tom has now gone home and i think me and jeff are going to stay here until maybe next weekend, i think we have both realised that there is some serious stomach reduction work to be carried out however i have just eaten a jumbo bag of pistacio nuts so we will see how that pans out! The campsite here is amazing, it has everything, a pizzeria, a lake with windsurfing boards, internet etc etc very impressed and its also nice and quiet.

After extensive mental and physical torment i think me and tom have very nearly broken jeffrey who is slipping into a state of delerium!

Hopefully all is well back home, i doubt the roof is finished dad!!! Will post again later on this week so bye for now xxx

  • The Summer Begins

Hi everyone, thought i would set up a blog so that you can all keep up with what im up to at the moment.

Well after being pretty busy working over the last few months i have decided that its time for a bit of a break, so the plan is to cruise around europe for a while. Departing on July 12th and at the moment planning on coming home on the 3rd of October but as with all things that i do these im sure will be sure to change!

The plan at the moment is roughly as follows: off to germany on the 12th to watch the kayaking world cup and have a bit of a party then moving on to france for a spot of building at sarah's dads new place on the 26th where sarah will be joining me for the rest of the summer. Then off down the coast of france, spain and hopefully end up somewhere around porto before heading back up the coast to watch the quiksilver pro surf contest in france at the end of september.

Isabelle is now up and running so fingers crossed she will keep us safe!
